There has been a venue change for Beast Of The Beats. The event will now be at TOUCH at 251 west 52nd street between 8th and Broadway, all original event tickets will be honored.
All times, all rules, all judges, all performances and all prizes remain the same. 21 and over w/ ID is still the rule.
Thanks for your support and WE ARE SO sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. It was out of Don and my control.
Please spread the word. Call and email all those who have tickets. We will also have a sign at Home to redirect those who show to the new club TOUCH.

| We went, we saw, we filmed. Videos should start launching mid-week. Congrats to Letter C; The Winner. Controversial ending, but you'll see and hear all about it. Lots of pics too. iStandard does it again.

by don, posted 07/08/08 Beast of the Beats II and Remix Hotel - NYC were all we expected AND some..Check out the recap, by iStandard's own Don Di Napoli
Remix Hotel-NYC was an amazing experience; anyone that attended I'm sure feels the same. What's better than interactive panels with some of the most influential people in the production world, "mixed" with technology displays from top manufacturers, right in the heart of NYC? The iStandard panels (A&R and The New Producers) were both sold out, up-close-and-personal, very informative, and at times hilarious! Look out for videos at www.RemixHotel.com soon. Thanks again to Joanne, Erin, Kylee, Donny, Andy, Jennifer, Lori, and the entire staff at Remix for getting iStandard involved. We love you guys!
On JUNE 29, 2008, the winners from our nationwide iStandard Producer Showcase from July '07 - June '08 descended upon NYC for one thing only- to be crowned this year's BEAST OF THE BEATS! Yeah, we had a last minute venue change (moved from HOME to TOUCH), but the event still turned out to be an ultra-success! 20 next-level future Super Producers showcased their tracks in front of the legendary PETE ROCK, Jive A&R DAVID LIGHTY, and a packed crowd full of industry professionals, producers, artists, music lovers, and more.
To start the night, we were blessed with a motivational intro by the legendary Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels and K.G. of the Cold Crush Brothers, and that set the tone for the entire evening. Each producer brought something different to the table, and the crowd was amazed at just how many hot producers there are out there. After all 20 producers played their tracks, we found out that we had a TIE for 1st place (The Letter "C" & Mr. JPatt both had 86 out of 100) and 3rd place (Canei Finch & El Boog "Da Compoza" both had 83 out of 100), which meant we needed a 3rd judge to select the winners. Luckily, NYC's-own Super-Producer JUST BLAZE was in the building, and he was the tie-breaker that allowed us to crown THE LETTER "C" as this year's Beast of the Beats!!! "C" brought diversity and a hit-making sense to a group of producers that will all be on your favorite artists' albums over the next few years! (The legendary D.M.C. & KG speaking at BotBII)
Congratulations to all 3 winners, the competition in the building was fierce. Be sure to contact the winners so you can get em while they are still fresh! Check out all the photos by Marca De Beatz at www.myspace.com/marcadebeatzllc (The Letter "C" with his brand new Roland Fantom G6!)
