If you have one, why aren't you talking about it?

How rude.

Hahah. Well, we are still considered the last word when it comes to the tools based on Music Production. The team of producers here use just about everything and there are no plans to make PE an online reference site- plus we don't  do reviews (yet- arggjjjjjhhh). When it coems to KORE 1 or 2  the question persists What's The Purpose of KORE2? I consider it to be a concept piece and think better if the thought was WHAT would I use it for if I owned it?

I say Concept Piece because it is a ton of functionality in a box and you have to choose which feature you'd lean on to speed up your workflow. There's a translation. Real Time or Live Performer really boils down to how I envision many (hip hop, rap and R&B) producers work... Fast. So, it's about diggin in and getting that framework for the track going. Getting the right sound happening...now. More than a patch browser you can use tags to oranize ALL THE PATCHES for your VSTs and pull them up and tweak away without launching the source plugin. KORE does that for you and keeps its GUI out of your way unless you want to get at it. For those that use a  lot of presets- it's an awesome advantage  to only have to learn the KORE  interface/MIDI device and know that ALL YOUR VSTs' main controls are located in the same place on screen and on the device.

If you are fine with the knobbage on your ROMpler then this is access to more parameters then you'd really ever tweak. If the sound wasn't that close- then you wouldn't be pulling it up as a candidate. If you wanted complex sound design options then you'd probably be doing that in the VST itself.

You can Morph from one sound to another- someone is going to freak that and use it on a  hit record and then EVERYONE will be asking how he did it and then suddenly ...eh..

Layer sounds and combine patches, insert effects.....the feature list goes on and on so I say again...pick the blurbie that gets your attention and focus on that. They have videos on their site of many of the features explained and we are hosting a ton of videos on our own YouTube channel.

What it isn't or doesn't do....

The KORE device IS NOT a processor or CPU helping box.

It is NOT a MIDI controller is such that you wont be hooking it up to other apps or using with something else...it has it's own MIDI ports so you can run devices through it.

It gives you the ability to play patches from all their hit products, but is not the same thing as having those individual products. The free version of the KORE player will play patches and will have separate sound packs you can purchase.

C'mon Chica.  How can anyone tell you that? Download the free KORE player and git busy.

You like the sounds; buy it. the best track ya got has voices in it. If you used all the voice presets in rapture there are more in the KORE2 library it comes with. If you like any of the NI presets then it's a no-brainer. Plus you get plenty of more presets with the add on packs.

Sheesh.

The Vox wasn't from Rapture. This is a part of a previous discussion and not an isolated question. Besides I was asking GRIFFIN. It's not about the sounds per se. I'm looking for an engine I can make particular sounds with.

Get lost.

Get the piece you have your heart set on. You will certainly get usage from the KORE2 package- no doubt about that. It has included sounds I think you would like. Try the free KORE Player and see how you feel about that. If it works for you then as XO said in hs own special way go for it.

If this buy jeapardizes that dream purchase then wait a little longer. I undertsand the quest for a signature piece. This is more than that- it's a workflow.

Don't sleep on the used stuff  either. I got a lot of nice pieces second-hand.

I can see why you'd be wary of craigslist, but you can always bring a chum to ride shotgun.

Either get on AIM more or stick to emails. I aint the only dude that logs in to the myspace.

Let me know what you think of the player.
